The conversation you should
be having anyway.
24 questions
Our members don't fly without it. Quick and easy, before flight - highlights the stuff you may have forgotten and might get you in trouble. So, you can mitigate before you go.
Score as you go
The running total sits in the header and updates on every answer, so you can see which factors are actually moving the number.
Report to your inbox
Finish and the scored report goes to whatever address you enter. Nothing is sent to a prescribed distribution list.
[ What it covers ]
Facilities
Aerodrome standard, approach aids, runway length and surface, lighting, and what happens if the primary becomes unavailable.
Operations
Sector length, time of day, crew pairing, aircraft configuration, and how much of the flight is into somewhere new.
Weather
Ceilings, visibility, crosswind, contamination, and the forecast trend between planning and arrival.
Human factors
Duty, rest, recency, workload — the honest questions about how the crew is actually placed to fly this one.
A FRAT score is an input to the decision, not the WHOLE decision. The Pilot In Command still makes the call – that is why you get paid the big bucks (apparently).
